I was researching spectrum analyzers. This is a great deal for a spectrum analyzer.  Check out these videos.   A Spectrum analyzer is a receiver that receives all frequencies in a given range and displays a graphic representation of the received wave forms corresponding to each frequency in the displayed window including power levels. This is the way to understand and learn about the signals and tracking equipment that we know nothing about yet.

Note:  YOU CAN USE THIS SPECTRUM ANALYZER FOR EVIDENTIARY PURPOSES.  If you watch the video you will see with your eyes that this little black box has a lot of technology packed under the hood.  It has brought the price of spectrum analyzers down from the stratosphere to where everyday folks can afford it.  Think about what a spectrum analyzer is.  It is a radio receiver that can display a graph of received signals over a range of frequencies all at once.  This was an engineering feat and look! IT WORKS!  This not only shows you a positive reading, but it also shows the frequencies and power levels that are responsible.  The display is spread out as a nice graphic display, the way engineers like it.  But you don’t need to be an engineer to appreciate this.  DARPA paid the up front engineering costs and now this little black box is being brought to you in as the VolksWagon of spectrum analyzer.  It will provide proof you can record and play back showing all significant signals and power levels of the signals.  Can your TriField meter do that!?  You can  save screen video’s with reading date and time!  This is the most affordable means of taking accurate directed energy readings that I know of.    The developers website  has much information including a course for programming and understanding technical details if you are into that.  But  no special knowledge is required to use basic features!  Just compare HackRF to this $40k HP Agilent Spectrum Analyzer.   The only difference is a calibration certificate and engineering details you don’t need.  You don’t need the calibration certificate to prove you are being tortured!

vivaldi1You will need to make sure you purchase an antenna and a cable for use with HackRF.  Do order the basic telescopic antenna that is specified for use with HackRF its good for basic measurements and to test your hackRF.  This will provide omni-directional readings, meaning the antenna pics up signals from any direction.  However, I recommend the use of a directional antenna for obtaining a signal only when pointing directly at the point source.  The antenna I bought on EBAY is one called Vivaldi and there are several models one of which is specified for use between 6,000Hz to 6.0 GHz for $73.00.  This is an example of one that has been sold to me as an example.   http://www.ebay.com/itm/UWB-Vivaldi-Tapered-Slot-Antenna-600-6000-MHz-for-SDR-RADAR-GPR-SIGINT-EMI-TEST-/221850502832?hash=item33a75206b0.  this is basically a circuit board which you would point in the direction of the signal.  It is flat so you will have to either hold it or set it down pointing at the signal.  The purple thing is a representation of signal energy only.  You will need to buy an antenna cable between 5 to 10 feet in length would be a good range.   You will have to specify the cable will have SMA female connector on each end.

 

A Word Of Caution

I have heard a lot of talk lately about TRIANGULATION when talking about simple meter measurement, which seems  like disinformation to me.   The people who are using this term either don’t know what it means or are deliberately trying to use the word to cause confusion about the topic measuring signals with a meter.  Yet the people who are using this term should know because they are saying they are experts.  My advice is that if they can get a simple thing so wrong that it causes confusion, then don’t listen to anything they have to say on the subject because it is disinformation.  Triangulation is a means of using Trigonometry and Geometry to calculate the location of a source of radiation for example.  In the case of electronic measurement, you can find the location of a Targeted Individual using three radar transmitters (cell phone towers) at separate locations.  Read about it in this Wikipedia article on the subject.  This is bull shit and has nothing to do with my directional meter or any meter we would use.  It has everything to do with obfuscation and disinformation.  I am muted when I call into FFCHS conference calls and the reason is they don’t want me spewing TRUTH amongst the lies.  Here is a support conference call which is all about finding the truth and helping targeted individuals.  It is called CONVERSATIONS AND SUPPORT FOR TARGETED INDIVIDUALS.  The host is Renata and this conference call is on every Sunday at 2:00pm pacific time on http://talkshoe.com.  You can get there using the widget below.  Signing up for an account is easy.

The HackRF ONE is a new software defined radio that has recently been shipped out to Kickstarter funders. It is a transmit and receive capable SDR with 8-Bit ADC, 10 MHz to 6 GHz operating range and up to 20 MHz of bandwidth. It can now be preordered for $299 USD. We just received ours from backing the Kickstarter and here’s a brief review of the product. We didn’t do any quantitative testing and this is just a first impressions review. So far we’ve only tested receive on Windows SDR#.

The basic package which includes a fully assembled HackRF board and enclosure is selling for $275. For $315 you can get a HackRF, enclosure and a Ham-It-Up upconverter as well, which is commonly also used with the RTL-SDR and will allow you to receive the HF bands between 0 – 30 MHz.

HackRF ONE is the original receiver the is for sale now.  The HackRF Blue is a HackRF clone that aims to sell at a lower cost. By sourcing lower cost parts that still work well in the HackRF circuit, the team behind the HackRF Blue were able to reduce the price of the HackRF down to $200 USD. They claim that the HackRF Blue has the same performance as the HackRF One and is fully compatible with the HackRF software. They are currently seeking funding through an IndieGoGo campaign.

USING THE HACKRF ON ANDROID

Micheal Ossmann’s HackRF Linux library has recently been ported to Android by programmer Dennis Mantz. Dennis has also made a blog post showing how to use the library. In addition he’s uploaded a YouTube video showing off the library using an example app. The app is capable of recording an RF signal and replaying it via the HackRF’s TX capabilities. In the video Dennis shows the example app recording a broadcast FM station and then retransmitting the recording to his car radio.  Dennis Mantz is charging $1.01 for his software

the price has come way down for spectrum analyzers as they can run many thousands of dollars and HackRF now makes spectrum analyzers affordable.   DARPA developed this which is why it is so cheap.

What-Power-Is-Measured-By-A-Spectrum Analyzer.

Typically, a spectrum analyser (SA) is not classified as a true power meter, because it is intended to display the IF envelope voltage. Power can be derived then assuming a 50 Ohm reference impedance. (Some SAs offer to choose among less frequent reference impedances for instance of 75 Ohm).  Modern SAs however include a power detector circuitry for accurate power readings. The detector mode setting enables several measurement options such as RMS power or peak power… If the trace is set to (power) detector mode, and the latter is for instance set to RMS, it is possible to use this info to obtain a more or less reliable RMS power reading!

Diverging from the SA topic, there is a simple smartphone meter that can be used as a directional meter by itself.  This directional smart phone meter is free if you have an android cell phone.  It is inexpensive to buy on Ebay  especially if 0you don’t want cell phone service for it. Compare the HackRF to using your camcorder screen as an indicator because it was distorted and rolling from Electromagnetic Energy.

  2. Spectrum analyzers cant show sread spectrum signals. So they are not suitable to measure surveillance or directed energy attacks with ultrawideband signals.

    1. This picture shows a spread spectrum signal, the broad curved washy signal, and a “normal” signal, the spike, on a spectrum analyzer

      This picture shows a spread spectrum signal on an oscilloscope. Despite the frequency of the pulse being spread over 100 MHz you still can clearly see the pulse.

    I have been researching RTL Software Defined Radio. This is because my cell phone had a black box on the screen and like a checkerboard effect. I was wondering why all the perps were always at my destination when I arrived.

    Do you know the best way to jam or block any signals from my pc or cell that the SDR can pull then decipher?
